Questions and answers posted on Yahoo Answers
" Where can we go in Northumberland?"
" How about combining Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. The Castle has probably the finest collection of Armour anywhere and the islands have some great wildlife to view. Only possible problem is that the islands can only be reached at low tide so you will need to check for access."
" I live in Gateshead and there is just Metro Centre and Newcastle City Centre so I think the best place is probably the beach - maybe Whiitley Bay cause everywhere good is shopping places so beach is all I can think of!"
"Whats the difference between Northumbria and Northumberland?"
" Northumbria is primarily the name of a historic petty kingdom of Angles in Medieval England , and the earldom which succeeded it in when England became a United Kingdom . The name reflects that of the approximate southern limit to the kingdom's territory: the Humber estuary.
Northumberland is a county in the North East of England . The non-metropolitan county of Northumberland borders Cumbria to the west, County Durham to the south and Tyne and Wear to the south east, as well as having a border with the Scottish Borders council area to the north, and nearly eighty miles of North Sea coastline. Since 1974 the county council has been located in Morpeth. "
