Reasons I think Moving house is good:

- You find all those things you'd thought you'd lost

- It's an excuse to have a massive clear out

- Because I love packing boxes!

- Finding a new place to put everything in is always a nice experience.
- Exploring your new neighbourhood 
- Meeting you new neighbours
- Having a house warming party
- It's always better if it's a bigger place
- It's nice to decorate

Facts about Moving house:


- It can be the most stressful thing to go through
- Young children can become stressed and upset at the prospect of moving house
- Any animals have to be slowly introduced to the garden, to save them running away!
- You must notify banks etc of your new address
- Your friends WILL expect a house warming party
- It will take a long time to unpack. But it WILL get done!
- Moving house can cost a lot of money
- You will need a removal van. No doubt about it.
- No two houses are run the same. Expect change!
- Redecorating IS part of the process

"I'm moving house for the first time, any useful tips?"


" Get rid of the accumulated junk but have a look at tit first. If you can not remember whar it means dump it now. Does it have great sentimental value think again but be ruthless and when you have decided to keep some have another look.
Label your boxes as to what is in them even if ir s just a list in the box. Decide where you want each box in the house when you get there.
We neither did a label and our decisions as to where each box whent awry due to circumstances under the control of the vendor.
You wil find if yoy do this it can actually be hard work but not unpleasent.
Above all remember where you put the kettle. "

" firstly, its not stressful, its an opportunity to get rid of all ur shite u have accumulated. top tip is this: think of ur new place as room numbers. every box u pack, every single item u pack, needs to be packed where u want it unpacked..ie living room kitchen.etc...label the bedrooms in ur new house 1 as the largest 2 as the next largest, etc..im in my 12th house now and most of the stress is the unpacking, and u can spend days running around putting things in the right places. if u have hired someone to move u, either get boxes and packing tape off them and pack urself, or wait and get them to do it...that way everything they pack will be covered in their insurance, not urs"

You may need a new burly men to help you pick up those heavy items of furniture.

Collect boxes! 

Label everything. The last thing you want to do is to loose the kettle..
