Reasons I think music sheets are good:
- Its like another language.
- Its so beautiful to look at.
- Its an aim of mine to be able to read music one day.
- I'm forever using them in collages
- Music can be written on it
- Its so mysterious
- You can't tell what piece of music is printed, until it's played.
- I like to use musical notes within some of my illustrations
- Its a simple form to put pen to keyboard - once you know how to read it.

Facts about music sheets:
- Is a hand-written or printed form of music notation that uses modern musical symbols
- The medium of sheet music typically is paper
- Music used to be written on parchment
- Score is a common alternative (and more generic) term for sheet music.
- Sheet music can be used as a record of, a guide to, or a means to perform, a piece of music.
- Comprehending sheet music requires a special form of literacy: the ability to read music notation
- An ability to read or write music is not a requirement to compose music.
- A full score is a large book showing the music of all instruments and voices in a composition lined up in a fixed order. It is large enough for a conductor to be able to read it while directing rehearsals and performances.
- A miniature score is like a full score but much reduced in size. It is too small for use in performance, but handy for studying a piece of music, whether it be for a large ensemble or a solo performer. A miniature score may contain some introductory remarks.
- A piano score (or piano reduction) is a more or less literal transcription for piano of a piece intended for many performing parts, especially orchestral works; this can include purely instrumental sections within large vocal works.
- Before the 15th century, western music was written by hand and preserved in manuscripts, usually bound in large volumes.
- The first printed book to include music, theMainz psalter (1457), had to have the notation added in by hand.
- The first machine-printed music appeared around 1473, approximately 20 years after Gutenberg introduced the printing press.
- Manuscript paper is paper preprinted with staves ready for musical notation.

Opinions about music sheets:
Yahoo answers, an already posted question: "How do you read sheet music"
- " the lines bottom to top= E G B D F - Every good boy deserves facebook, the gaps bottom to top= F A C E, the whole stave C D E F G A B C "
" The quickest and most accurate way to read sheet music is to slow down. Take one section at a time, play it as slowly as it takes for you to play it accurately at least 3 times before playing it more quickly, move onto the next section and so on. I realise this sounds time consuming, but you will be amazed at the speed of your progress. Also some sections will be easier than others. A section could be one bar,3 bars or whatever length you find you need to play accurately and in time. "
