Place: Northumberland - A visit to Alnwick Gardens

I took a day trip to see Alnwick in all it's glory. Getting some serious primary research, taking some serious pictures.

You can get a ticket to see each of the attractions surrounding Alnwick castle, which consist of it's gardens, and tree house.

The Poison Garden

Alnwick gardens was absolutely stunning and is one of my favourite places in Northumberland. We spent 3 hours searching the gardens, each offering us something different. The gardens consisted of:
- Rose garden
- Poisonous Garden
- Water features
- Bamboo labrinth
- Wall Garden

Each holding an array of flowers. Alnwick garden has the most European plants within its gardens in England, which makes it so interesting. The gardens were initially constructed to add interest in the castle, tourist numbers were falling, so the Dukes wife, with a grant, built the beauty that is Alnwick Gardens. It's certainly put itself on the map.
